Transmedia Storytelling and Indian Cinema: A Study of Multimedia Adaptations of Krrish, Bahubali and Dhoom
The Department of English at MKBU organised a National Seminar on ‘The Research Prospects in English Studies’. The event was inaugurated by a keynote address delivered by Avishek Parui, a distinguished scholar from IIT Madras. His insightful speech set the tone for the proceedings of the day.
Following the keynote address, two plenary sessions were conducted by the erudite scholars Dr. Atanu Bhattacharya and Dr. Balaji Ranganathan from CUG-Gandhinagar. The sessions delved into the topics of ‘Research Prospects in English Studies: The Technology Turn’ and ‘Problems of Postcolonial Studies in Chinese Literature’.
The seminar was marked by the intellectual vigour and academic understanding of the participants, who engaged in meaningful discussions and debates on the emerging research prospects in the field of English Studies. The event proved to be an enriching experience for all those present, providing a platform to exchange ideas and foster collaborative research in the domain of English Studies.
This is for the first time I got an opportunity to present my research paper on 'Transmedia Storytelling and Indian Cinema: A Study of Multimedia Adaptations of Krrish, Bahubali and Dhoom' at a National seminar, under the chairpersonship of Dr. Sunita Nimavat.
As the Seminar was arranged by our Department, I served as a member of the ICT Team. Alongside my teammate, Himanshi Parmar, we efficiently recorded the two parallel sessions at the New court hall, employing OBS studio. This Seminar not only enabled us to enhance our research and presentation skills but also to elevate our management and ICT Skills.
