Talk on 'From Vision to Action: Inspiring Inclusion to Accelerate Success' at M.R.R.M. College, SPEI, Bhavnagar
International Women's day Celebration at M.R.R. Monapara Arts College, SPEI, Bhavnagar
On February 9, 2024, I had the distinct privilege of delivering the keynote address at the International Women's Day celebration organized by M.R.R. Monpara Arts College, SPEI, Bhavnagar. My talk was titled "From Vision to Action: Inspiring Inclusion to Accelerate Success," resonated deeply with the essence of the occasion.
In my address, I aimed to delve into the central theme celebrated for Women's Day 2024, which was "Invest in Women, Accelerate Success - Inspire Inclusion." Despite the significant strides women have made in the 21st century, not all have experienced the same level of progress, and even those who have achieved success may still face certain exclusions that demand attention. The overarching theme of this Women's Day was to celebrate and inspire inclusion.
As the keynote speaker, I captivated the audience by exploring the intrinsic connection between having a clear vision and taking decisive action to turn that vision into a tangible reality. I emphasized the pivotal role that inclusion plays in fostering an environment where women can thrive, contribute their unique perspectives, and collectively drive success.
The event served as a powerful platform to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women while also acknowledging the challenges they often face. My speech highlighted the importance of collective action and nurturing a supportive ecosystem that empowers women to reach their full potential and accelerate their journey toward success.
By providing examples, I encouraged the audience to reflect on who they perceive as empowered and who might still face challenges, probing into the reasons behind such disparities. Financial literacy among women emerged as a crucial need, and I highlighted the significance of sharing success stories and celebrating the accomplishments of fellow women. I emphasized that
"We can infuse energy into the wire to ignite multiple bulbs simultaneously" and encouraged the audience to "Focus on themselves and not get lost in other people."
Students were eager to explore and comprehend the nuances of celebrating and accelerating success for women in a more captivating manner. Students from B.Com and B.Sc also attended the session. During the event, Vipul Dabhi sir's speech added depth to the discussion, incorporating insightful points and a video from Satyajit Ray's film 'Mahanagar.' It was encouraging to witness students actively participating, managing equipment alongside teachers, and fostering a collaborative learning environment.
The post-talk session was truly insightful, with a few students engaging in further conversation with the esteemed faculty and myself. We explored interesting topics related to women's empowerment, men's participation (as three boys were also present), and other aspects related to the further studies of students.
Here is a wonderful video Prepared by Rajdeep including all the moments:

Being invited as the chief guest for the first time made the occasion particularly special for me. I express my sincere gratitude to Vipul sir, Kavisha Aalagia ma'am, the Principal sir, and the management of M.R.R.M. College, SPEI for this invaluable opportunity to contribute to the celebration of International Women's Day and share insights on the theme of inclusion and success.
